Our Story
Formed in 2022 two chefs Sean and Andrew who have over 20 years experience working within the hotel and hospitality sector around Edinburgh and Scotland decided to setup a private venture. Using our experience gained from providing weddings, functions, private catering, buffets and theme nights within hotels and restaurants they felt that many people could and should have the ability to hire professional staff for events or hire the equipment to produce for large parties with ease. Working with our clients to provide the best possible event is always our focus and to provide a product that we are proud of.
Meet The Team
Chef Sean
Starting his career in Tony Singh in 2010 he was part of the kitchen brigade and worked his way up the kitchen ladder until 2012 where he furthered his career and progressed onto working for Mitchell and Butlers as Head Chef at The Sheeps Heid Inn, Duddingston. Currently working at the Salisbury Arms whilst also running RntAChef on a part time basis.
Chef Drew
Starting his catering career in 2004 at Melville Castle, Andrew worked as part of the kitchen brigade who achieved 2 rosettes in 2007. Leaving the castle in 2009, Andrew then went on to work for ASA Recruitment agency who sent him to different hotels, restaurants and locations around Scotland. Leaving the agency in 2014 to work at the Sheeps Heid Inn in Duddingston is where he met Sean. The highlight being in July 2016 when the brigade at the Sheeps were lucky enough to feed HM Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. In 2018 he left the Sheeps to work at The Bridge Inn, Ratho until 2021 and the outbreak of Covid. After the pandemic and with hotels reopening he is currently working with Premier Connections in Edinburgh who have sent him to various locations throughout Edinburgh (Dalhousie Castle, Marriot Bonvoy, The Holyrood Hotel and Brewhemia to name a few).
Jen Ruiz
Jen is our Office Manager who deals with our clients on a daily basis. After ten years working as a Project Manager for IQVIA she is always pushing the business forward with new ideas and ways to approach things. Creating new innovations such as the menus and events packages, new ways of online invoicing and engaging the customers in the products we offer.
Our Apprentices
David & Daniel are our two young apprentices who help at functions & events. Always keen to learn wether it be setting up a marquee, learning how to sear steak, silver serving, making cranachans, learning gas safety and regulation, setting up marquee flooring. They are always learning different things and starting their catering journey
